It is not often that one comes across a fly fishing venue so unique and beautiful that it simply speaks for itself. Fizantakraal Trout Lodge is such a place. Nature lovers, fly fisherman, bird watchers and hikers will be thrilled by this unique mountain hideaway.
Set amongst dramatic mountain scenery in the Du Toits Kloof mountains, this elegant and totally private trout fishing lodge offers a luxury experience incorporating natural splendour, fantastic fly fishing and decadent cuisine.
The lodge looks out onto four picturesque trout dams holding beautifully conditioned rainbow and brown trout, and over the Kraalstroom river from the elevated back deck. Two pristine wild trout streams run through the farm each offering private and exclusive access to some of the best dry fly fishing in the Western Cape.
The local Cape fynbos vegetation is exceptional and home to an array of birds and wildlife. The farm has recently been incorporated into the Boland Wild Leopard Trust and is home to a number of these endangered cats.
The venue is fully catered by on site gourmet chefs, and is best suited to groups of 6 – 8 people.
